Our team has much experience with various methods including endoscopic, keyhole, robotic, and redo or revision procedures. We'll find the best approach for you.

Izabela Kerner

Principal Dietitian & Nutrition Support

ADS, APD (Australia), CNSC (US) | BSc (Sydney), MNutr&Diet (Sydney)

Izabela is a clinical dietitian with close to two decades of experience in the field of nutrition. In particular, she has a wide range of health, medical and surgical nutrition knowledge from a diverse career spanning across three continents.

After obtaining her Masters Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Sydney (1998), she went on to work as a clinical dietitian in Australia, Singapore and the UK. She is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian of Australia (APD) and Accredited Dietitian of Singapore (ADS) and a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (USA) since 2009.

Izabela previously worked at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) for over 4 years and in Changi General Hospital (CGH) for almost 8 years. While at CGH, she provided nutrition care to patients in both the medical and surgical ICUs, giving her in-depth experience in managing patients on both enteral and parenteral nutrition. Prior to leaving CGH, she held the position of Principal Dietitian. Izabela is an associate lecturer at SIM University teaching nutrition-related courses since 2014 and a main committee member of the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetic Association (SNDA) since 2016.

Her areas of interest include nutrition therapy for gastrointestinal disorders, weight management, peri-operative nutrition support and chronic disease management. At Digestive Centre, she offers realistic and evidence-based solutions tailored to the needs of each individual.

Aaron Yeo

Exercise Physiologist

About Aaron
With over a decade of experience in clinical and fitness settings, Aaron is a highly skilled Exercise Specialist and Physiotherapist, dedicated to helping individuals achieve lasting health and wellness. Before joining the Digestive Centre, Aaron spent ten years at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH), where he worked closely with inpatients and outpatients, specialising in the treatment of a wide range of injuries and post-operative conditions.

At SGH, Aaron honed his expertise in fitness assessment, exercise planning, and lifestyle counselling, especially for clients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiac concerns, and metabolic syndrome. As part of his commitment to professional excellence, he collaborated with clinicians from renowned institutions like the Joslin Diabetes Center (Boston, USA) and the Duke Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery (North Carolina, USA), broadening his understanding of metabolic and weight management strategies.

Certified as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine and as a Level 1 and 2 Kinetic Link Trainer, Aaron integrates clinical insight with evidence-based training methods to deliver sustainable, personalised wellness solutions.

In his spare time, Aaron enjoys hiking, playing ultimate frisbee, and spending quality time with his family, valuing the balance between professional dedication and personal well-being.

Minal

Nurse Coordinator

Minal is the Nurse Coordinator at Digestive Centre, bringing with her 20 years of experience in the medical field. She started her nursing career at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH), where she worked in multi-disciplinary and psychiatry in-patient wards. Subsequently, she also discovered her calling in the specialist outpatient clinic setting.

Minal is passionate about understanding the individual needs and preferences of each patient and tailoring their treatment accordingly. Besides being skilled in coordinating care provided by our doctors and other specialists, she also provides motivational counselling, perioperative support, medication guidance and monitors patients’ medical status as they go through their journey to better health and recovery.

Janice

Surgical Nurse Coordinator

Janice is a Surgical Nurse Coordinator at Digestive Centre. She is a registered nurse with 14 years of experience. She graduated with a Diploma in Nursing from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2010 and started her career at Gleneagles Hospital. She found her calling in her love for the operating theatre.

She assists doctors during surgery and carries out bedside procedures such as wound dressings and suture removal. In the clinic, she walks patients through the whole surgical process from pre-operative counselling and preparation to post-op management and rehabilitation.

Her goal is to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all patients, providing care and compassion in difficult situations.

Janice is a mother of 3 young boys, who always keep her on her toes! Fortunately, she is herself very active and loves travelling with her husband and children. Outside of work, she is a foodie and is always seeking out good food around Singapore and beyond to share with her family.

Nurul

Clinic Associate

Nurul is the Clinic Associate at Digestive Centre, with 14 years of experience under her belt. After graduating with a Diploma in Business and IT from Republic Polytechnic, she started working at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) as a patient service associate at the LIFE Centre. There, she received training in both administrative and clinical roles including admission, counselling and listing of patients for procedures.

At Digestive Centre, Nurul deftly schedules and coordinates patient visits, including tele-consultations and home visits. She manages the clinic’s IT systems and is key to our day-to-day operations in providing seamless care for all our patients.

We offer comprehensive, personalised care for acid reflux and obesity.
